This week was a good service. With the variable of introducing ProPresnter, I am happy with the way everything unfolded.
On another note. This Sunday we mixed up the service order and started with 1 song, then announcements and then the major worship package. I always find that this is a nice break from the typical Sunday for 2 main reasons...
1) It keeps people guessing and breaks routine. I find when you do something "out of the ordinary" like changing the usual order...showing a video, etc. it helps to add a new dimension and depth to the service.
2) We (as I've mentioned before) have a HUGE problem with latecomers. What hapen most Sundays is people come in during the announcements and they miss the meat of the worship time. Changing it up gives them a taste of what they're missing, and if they came late today, they missed announcements and offering...hopefully inspiring them to show up early next week.
We began our series entitled "Dear Church - 7 Letters to 7 Churches" out of the book of Revelation.
All that said, here's how everything went down.
